At Hillcrest we hope to create a meaningful 21st century learning environment for students that results in the development of socially responsible life-long learners. Hillcrest’s BYOD program is not about the devices themselves, but about creating constructive change in teaching practices and empowering students to make decisions regarding how they will learn in class. Students will become information producers rather than information consumers. While we are moving as quickly as possible to implement these significant advancements, all change takes time and requires perseverance.
