Retail Fundraising

What is Retail Fundraising?

It’s the easiest way to earn money for our school! Each year, Hillcrest earns thousands of dollars by partnering with businesses that contribute a portion of their proceeds to our school when we shop or dine there. We encourage you to support these businesses and help raise valuable dollars for Hillcrest. For a printable flyer with all the details click here. For a “Tip Sheet” with detailed instructions on how to sign up for each program, click here.

We ask that every family help us in our fundraising goals by participating in these programs. Consider making it a family effort by recruiting grandparents and friends – anyone throughout the country can participate in these programs to benefit our PTA. If you have questions about any of these programs, please contact Diane Huetter & Elizabeth Hollendoner at

How can you help Hillcrest earn easy money?

Amazon Shopping Rewards

4-8% of the money you spend at Amazon will automatically be donated to the Hillcrest PTA simply by entering Amazon through the link on Hillcrest’s Homepage. Bookmark this link on your computer or phone to ensure it is always at your fingertips. Don’t forget to share this link with friends and relatives too. (Note: please don’t confuse this with the “Amazon Smiles” program, which is different and has less earnings potential.)

Dine-out Nights

About once a month, Hillcrest will announce a local restaurant that is hosting a Dine-out Night, when the restaurant will give back a portion of all purchases from Hillcrest families.

Register at Lucky with a phone number to use at check-out and Hillcrest can automatically earn up to 3% of your purchases at Lucky, SaveMart and FoodMaxx.

Register your credit & debit cards to automatically earn for Hillcrest whenever you use these cards at participating merchants and restaurants (go to for list of Merchants).

eScrip Mall & ForgetMeNot

Whenever you shop online, first go to & click through to their Online Mall. By entering retail sites this way, Hillcrest receives up to 16% of every order placed at over 1,000 participating online retailers. No sign-up needed, and no credit cards need to be registered. OR better yet, download eScrip’s ForgetMeNot browser app to automatically earn contributions without having to click through the mall first.

ShopWithScrip Gift Cards

You can order pre-paid gift cards from over 400 retailers such as Peet’s Coffee, Starbucks, Amazon, Macy’s, Gap, Safeway & more. Hillcrest earns 1-13% of the face value of the card. Help our PTA earn money by purchasing Scrip Gift Cards to use for gifts or everyday purchases that you would make anyway like coffee, groceries, gas or clothing. Go to, click “Get Started” in the upper right corner, then click “Join Your Existing Program”. Hillcrest’s enrollment code is: L576A47A1137L

Sports Basement

Mention Hillcrest at check-out and receive two benefits: you receive 10% off your purchase and Sports Basement shares 10% of their profits with charities including Hillcrest.

Farm Fresh to You

Receive fresh, organic produce conveniently delivered right to your home and 10% is donated back to Hillcrest. To order, go to and enter promo code: Hillcrest.

Mabel’s Labels

Label your child’s clothes with these personalized labels and Hillcrest will earn 20% back on every order that is placed through this link.

Plum Print

With Plum Print, you can take the artwork your child creates and turn it into a beautiful custom coffee table book. Order through this link and our PTA receives 10% of your purchase.

Big Pie

By joining BigPie and shopping at participating local merchants, Hillcrest will receive a portion of these purchases. (See for list of merchants.)

Ackerman’s Servicing Volvo & Subaru

Do you have a Volvo or Subaru? Bring it to Ackerman’s Servicing at 2220 San Pablo Ave for service and give back to Hillcrest. Ackerman’s Servicing Volvo and Subaru will donate 5% of your invoice to Hillcrest. Just ask Bruce Ackerman the next time you bring your car in.
