We want to see more students riding their bikes to school this semester – that’s why we’ve invited
the BikeMobile to provide Free Tune Ups and repairs for everyone!
Is your bike making one of those mystery sounds? Is it in your garage collecting dust because it has a flat tire – or worse, no tire at all? If so, bring it to school on Jan 10, 2025 because from 2:45-5:15pm the BikeMobile will be providing free tune ups and repairs. The BikeMobile can fix flat tires, adjust brakes and gears, and even replace broken or worn out parts like chains, seats, and tires. The only thing it can’t do is replace missing wheels or gears.
While the mechanics work on your bike they’ll explain how your bike works and how to keep it
running smooth. Bike or no bike, everyone is welcome to attend! This is a first come, first serve
event, and space is limited to 20 people. We look forward to seeing you there!

Hey, Hillcrest – Go for the Gold! The Annual Hillcrest Benefit & Auction is happening on Saturday evening November 16th, 2024 at the Claremont Hotel. This beloved event is one of our most important fundraisers which supports the many staff positions and programs funded by the Hillcrest PTA that enrich the education and experience of all students at Hillcrest. This year’s theme is OLYMPICS… attendees dress up in their own creative interpretations. Pay homage to a moment from the Opening Ceremonies, a Kodak moment from an athletic competition, the best-dressed newscaster, or an icon from year’s past…… all are welcome! School tours for 2025-26 prospective families will be in person this year, along with one virtual option. You will have the opportunity to meet Principal Hatch and tour Hillcrest (please note tours are for parents/guardians only). Tours will be on Nov 19 & Dec 12, 2024 and Jan 21, 2025 at 10am. The Fall 2024 Hillcrest Swag Drive has officially launched! Purchases must be placed online by the Friday August 30, 2024 deadline. Note we only order exactly what is purchased, and all items will be available for pick up in October. More info can be found here. Did you know you can easily add the Hillcrest public calendar to your personal device’s calendar? Never again miss a Minimum Day or Hillcrest event! The Hillcrest calendar can be added to many mobile phones by clicking HERE. The Hillcrest calendar can be added to your desktop computer calendar by clicking on the + sign on the lower right corner of the Hillcrest website calendar HERE. Note that YMMV depending on your device, software, and Google public calendar compatibility.

OUSD has released the revised calendar for the 2024-25 school year. Note the new first day of school will be Monday, August 12, 2024.

Registration for the 2024-25 school year is now online via Aeries. Click here for additional information on how to complete the registration process. Also note that Orientation for New Families, Kindergarteners, Middle Schoolers, and the BACR after school program will take place on Friday, August 9th, 2024.
