Fundraising

The Hillcrest Walkathon is the third and final fundraiser of the school year. Our goal is to raise $70,000 in order to fully cover the staff, programs, facilities improvements, and more that have been provided for the 2023-2024 school year. Our latest projections indicate that the PTA will spend a total of $1,983 per student at Hillcrest this school year to provide the following services:

  • Library program and teacher librarian
  • Technology classes and instructor
  • Reading specialist / small group intervention
  • Mental Health specialist and social/emotional curriculum
  • Diversity, equity, and inclusion program
  • Facilities improvements (e.g., playground resurfacing, outdoor seating, classroom projectors and screens, ceiling fans for cooling and ventilation)
  • Classroom software and hardware technology
  • Teacher professional development
  • School, art, and office supplies
