Dr. Sherry would like to to remind families that many of our students have food allergies and in some cases severe food allergies. When you are bringing food and snacks to school please be mindful of allergies in the classrooms and we encourage parents to be familiar with OUSD’s Healthy Food Polices.

Principal Segura would like to clarify that on weeks when Monday is a Holiday, there will be no morning circle for the week, and any birthdays or other relevant items will be pushed to the Morning Circle the following Monday. This will allow teachers to maximize instructional time during short weeks.

Are you interested in having your child participate in extracurricular Spanish classes at Hillcrest for the 2016/2017 school year? We have a new Spanish program we are offering for the enrichment program this year and are welcoming new families. Please contact Jennifer Bauer with any questions.

Are you interested in having your child participate in extracurricular French classes at Hillcrest next year? EFBA offers French classes to French speaking and English speaking students K-8th grade at Hillcrest after school. We have had multiple families participate this past year and welcome new families for next year. The EFBA program is a wonderful way introduce your child to the French language and culture in in a small class setting.

A reminder to parents that Monday August 22 to Friday August 26 inclusive are minimum days. Children will be dismissed at 1:15.
